What does this information mean?
Several groups are now using these results to help in the process of giving information to parents and informing decisions that have to be made in the neonatal period.
We are encouraged by the results because many people had said that outcome was not going to be as good as it is. However, children who survive still have a high risk of disability. We are currently doing more work on trying to predict why some children do and some do not and analysing the results of the growth measurements, the answers to the chest symptoms questionnaire you were asked and the tests of handedness that we did.
