What are we doing next?
Now the children are older we should be able to see how well they are settling into school once they have started. We need to know the answers to a range of questions such as:
Were our predictions about disability at 2½ right?
Have the children continued to catch up?
Are there any new problems?
Can we identify areas that the schools can work with the children to improve?
To answer these and many other questions we have now set up the EPICure-3 Study. In the letter that accompanies this newsletter we are inviting you to join this phase of the study.
We hope you will be able to help us with our ongoing studies as, without knowing how extremely premature infants grow up, looking after this very special group of children is even more difficult. What ever your decision
