EPICure at Eleven Years

This was the last part of the study to have been reported and most of the write up is complete and published.  The study was unique in that we carried out an assessment of the majority of children in the study at school, many with classmates who were not born prematurely.

The collaboration of the EPICure families, their friends at school, and teachers was really helpful and gave us much new information.

A further group of about 50 EPICure children travelled down to the UCL Institute of Child Health to act as a focus group form whom we collected information about the function of their lungs and sensory system.  In addition they wore an activity monitor so we could work out whether EPICure children were more or less active than their classmates!
